Quagmire Postcards
This work is part of a long-term conceptual project involving the mailing of thick cardboard postcards featuring politically charged visual poetry on the front. There are, at present, fifteen postcards in the series. Christian Parenti asserts that mobility is the currency of resistanceaccordingly, these postcards constitute a gesture of resistance designed for U.S. Postal Service workers as well as anyone else who may peruse, scuff, deface, or ponder these postcards while they are in transit. -Jules Boykoff
Jules Boykoff co-edits the Tangent, a zine of politics and art, and co-hosts Tangent Radio: Poetry & Politics, a weekly radio show in Walla Walla, Washington. He is author of the multi-media chapbook Philosophical Investigations Inna Neo-Con Roots-Dub Styley (The Interrupting Cow Press, 2004) and his work has recently appeared or is forthcoming in Tripwire, Extra!, Labor History, and Chain. He teaches in the Politics Department at Whitman College.
