DISCOVER DUDLEY PICTURES: 9/16/05 You never thought your Dudley Fellows could look this silly did you? Hope everyone had as much fun as we did, not including the cleaning up half empty beer bottles (I wouldn't wish that on anyone!) The Arts fellows brought you a dry Orient Express Tea Lounge complete with Vanilla Oolong for the first couple of hours at least, a mini exhibition of the photography of both Arts Fellows and film by Tranh An Hung. Gato Rojo became a cantina, complete with gorgeous mistress, Nenita and North American color added by Public Service Fellows. The Music fellows somehow managed to look convincing in Daishikis, sort of...and brought an African Drum Circle to life in the Fireside Room. Literary naturally took over the library and created, well...a remarkable likeness of south american (ish) climes in the most unlikely of places, complete with toucan pinata. Europe, including an Arthurian court presided over by our House Master sprawled across the 3rd floor as did the cake...but with great eats, fine wines and Susan Zawalich's poster collection, the place was heaving. Australia was rather authentic, I am lead to believe. Large quantities of beer. Much rowdiness and exceptionally bad accents from the Athletics fellows. Antarctica was well...cool. ice cream for everybody (!) thanks to Ellen Fox, her team, and the Resident Advisers. LAST BUT MOST CERTAINLY NOT LEAST: the Dudley Airport. The Intellectual and Cultural Fellows proved they deserve the moniker in teaming up with the Outings Fellows and coming up with the solution to the problem of being left with the arctic. they chose instead to be the duty free lounge of good cheer...and how can anyone ever forget all those lovely stewards and stewardesses? So that was DD 2005. I have only one unanswered question: Can someone please explain to me why Dimitri was dressed as a prisoner? ??????????????
