An excellent local resource for lessons is the Dance Complex in Central Square. Lessons offered in a wide range of styles, from Ballet and Tap to Flamenco, Hip Hop and Street Funk. Price varies by instructor, many classes are open for drop-ins.

Havana Club Salsa has dancing Friday and Saturday nights, in two locations - 288 Green St., Cambridge (Central), and 85 W. Newton St, Boston (South End). Check the website for which locale they'll be dancing at - the South End venue often has live music!

Ryles Jazz Club in Inman Square is a sure bet for Latin dancing - Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha. There is usually something going on from Tuesday through Sunday of each week - in my experience, Thursday nights draw a great crowd, and Saturdays play a "ballroom mix" and cater to the local ballroom competetors.
