Dudley House Arts Fellows 2008-2009

J.P. Sniadecki

Hi! Welcome to Arts at Dudley House! I am a second-year Phd student in Social Anthropology with an emphasis on Chinese society, sensory ethnography, and filmmaking. As the Film & Arts Fellow, I'll be organizing screenings of avante-garde, nonfiction, and narrative films from all over the world, as well as leading groups over to the Harvard Film Archive for special "Director-in-Person" nights and other events. Looking forward to enjoying great cinema with you, whether seated in darkened theaters or on Graduate Student Lounge couches.

Jonathan Bruno

I'm a G2 in the Government Department. I read political philosophy, and I think Rousseau was a much better man than Voltaire. Though I relish a good song and dance (I'm an Arts Fellow!), I also have interests in the theatre, in ghost stories, in fine wine, and in country roads. Please come talk to me about ideas for House events---and remember, for your sanity, to enjoy a Dudley program at least once every 3-5 days.

Di Yin Lu

Di Yin Lu is a G3 in the History department, where she ruminates over China and all the countries that fiddle about with China. When she is not thinking about the Far East, she reminisces wistfully about the years she spent in California, and eats ice cream. She believes that the world would be a more delightful place if all its denizens could get home delivery from Herrell's, Lizzy's, and Christina's. As the Dudley Arts dance fellow, she will bring oodles of dance films, dance lessons and otherwise dance-related events to Dudley. Please join her! All her events will include snacks - including the aforementioned ice cream.
