Fall 2009 - Student Activities Fair
Wednesday,

the
Student Organization Center at Hilles
Dinner will be served in
the Radcliffe Quad starting at 5pm, with a menu designed to give
Harvard's first years a "Taste of Boston."
In
the event of rain, the fair will be held on Friday, September 4 from
3pm-5pm in the Old Yard.

The Fondo de Cultura Económica de Mexico

"Taller La Cartonera"

As part of the celebration of its 75 years, the Fondo
de Cultura Económica de Mexico invited Cultural Agents to participate
with the Paper Picker Press. The workshop will be attended by
69 local artists, educators and community leaders. Facilitators
from "Amiga Cartonera" who have applied the philosophy and
practices of Cartonera Mano Amiga School in Chalco, Mexico for
over a year will participate in the workshop.

During a week-long training participants from local
and international organizations will experiment the philosophy and
practices of the Paper Picker Press in reading, writing, and
critical thinking through creativity in a range of arts.
The workshop is designed to explore the potential of
the PPP for engaging children and youth from
vulnerable communities in Colombia and beyond.
