Cartas de la persistencia

The Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango del Banco de la República, the Javeriana University Instituto and Bogotá Secretaría Distrital de Cultura, Recreación y Deporte have launched the program Cartas de la persistencia in Bogotá, Colombia. The program invites participants to write letters that tell how they have confronted adversity. It invites them to write to those who are absent, missing, far away, unwilling to hear, to tell their children, or even strangers, how to sustain hope despite violence or how to continue dreaming of a tomorrow. Children are encouraged to tell how they have been able to withstand fear. All stories, big or small, are welcome.
