Adiós a las trampas

Adiós a las trampas or Goodbye to cheating is a project spearheaded by the Secretaría de la Función Pública (SFP) with the Instituto Federal Electoral (IFE), el Consejo Nacional para la Cultural y las Artes (CONACULTA) y el Fondo de Cultura Económica in Mexico. This project, which used art to involve children and adolescents in reflections about values, civic behavior, and respect for the law was implemented in Colombia in 2004. The call for art works that touched upon issues of honesty, transparency, and respect was answered by more than 57.000 drawings and paintings. Fifty of these works were selected to be part of a travelling exhibit and then served as the basis for essays by four notable Colombians: Antanas Mockus, former mayor of Bogotá, Héctor Abad Faciolince, writer and journalist, Yolanda Reyes, professor and writer, and Guillermo Hoyos, philosopher. The aim of this project was to call forth new voices and elicit alternatives to erradicate corruption from the Colombian milieu.
