Frank Ninkovich is Professor of History at St. John's University. He is currently working on a history of the emergence of a global outlook in the United States between 1865-1890, as well as editing two volumes of essays on U.S. foreign relations. An elected member of the Council of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations, he serves on the editorial board of the society's journal, Diplomatic History. Professor Ninkovich's recent works include The United States and Imperialism (2000), The Wilsonian Century (1999), and Modernity and Power (1994).
