The Department of Celtic Languages and Literatures offers advanced instruction and training in the languages and literatures of the Celtic-speaking peoples and administers programs leading to the PhD in Celtic Languages and Literatures.

Courses in Celtic languages and literatures have been taught regularly at Harvard University since 1896.

Current course offerings range from modern,  middle, and old Irish, Welsh, and Scottish Gaelic languages to the literatures, history, law, linguistics, folklore, and archaeology of Celtic-speaking peoples.
