Harvard University Astronomy Lab and Clay Telescope

Fall Semester 2009

Each semester the Department of Astronomy holds a monthly seminar that is given by a faculty member. It is directed toward current or prospective concentrators in Astronomy or Astrophysics but all interested students are welcome to attend. The talks begin at 6pm and last for roughtly 50 minutes with time reserved at the end for questions. This is a great way to learn about interesting subjects in Astronomy, as well as a great way to interact with faculty and other Astronomy/Astrophysics concentrators. If time and weather cooperate, a tour of the Clay Telescope will be given and occasionally the telescope will be opened for viewing.

All talks take place in the Astronomy Lab (Science Center Rm. 804) and FREE pizza is provided!!
