This multi-year project seeks to expand research into Sino-Japanese conflict between 1931 and 1945 by promoting cooperation among scholars and institutions in China, Japan, the United States, and other nations. An initial planning conference was held in Tokyo in January 2000. The summary report from this meeting provides further detail on the scope of this project, as well as plans for future conferences. Materials from the June 2002 and January 2004 conferences are also now available.
