The faculty and visiting faculty members of the Department of Anthropology have diverse interests and affiliations–including joint appointments with the departments of African and African American Studies, Visual and Environmental Studies, the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, the Committee on Degrees in Social Studies, the Divinity School and the School of Medicine.

The Department of Anthropology at Harvard is home to graduate students in two programs: Archaeology, Social Anthropology; and joint Ph.D. programs in Medical Anthropology, Media Anthropology, the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, and African and African American Studies.
