International Association of Teachers of Czech (IATC)
The International Association of Teachers of Czech (formerly the North American Association of Teachers of Czech) is a non-profit, scholarly organization. Its objective is to promote study of the Czech language. Its main goals are: to facilitate contacts among teachers of Czech in North America and elsewhere by organizing meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops; to encourage research in language learning pedagogy, as well as development and updating of Czech teaching materials; to publish a newsletter to serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among teachers and students of Czech and the interested public; to coordinate teaching programs of the Czech language among North American institutions; to seek contacts and affiliations with Czech academic institutions; and to raise funds for scholarships, teaching programs and other activities mentioned above.
