American Association of Teachers of Slavic and Eastern European Languages (AATSEEL)
AATSEEL is the professional organization in the US devoted to all aspects of the teaching and study of Russian and other Slavic and East European languages, literatures, and cultures. The organization also serves as a clearing-house for information on jobs and language study programs. Its more than forty chapters conduct meetings on a state- or area-wide basis each academic year. These chapters also sponsor scholastic honor societies at the college (Dobro Slovo) and high school (Slava) levels. In addition, AATSEEL holds a national conference annually, which features the presentation of papers related to topics selected by members.
