Individual Membership
The Association has approximately 3,500 members and subscribers in the U.S. and abroad. Individual members come primarily from the academic community, as well as from the government and private sectors, but membership is open to anyone interested in furthering the scholarly objectives of the AAASS.
Individual membership is on a calendar year basis, with dues scaled to income level. Members receive Slavic Review and NewsNet (the AAASS newsletter), as well as access to several benefits available exlusively to members online. Members may participate in the AAASS National Convention at a discounted registration fee, and have the opportunity to subscribe to several affiliated journals at a significantly discounted rate. ...more...
Institutional Membership
Institutions with programs or interests in Slavic, Eurasian, and East European studies are eligible to become institutional members of the AAASS. In 2009, forty institutions across the country and abroad are demonstrating their support of the field with institutional membership in the Association. Through their representatives on the Council of Institutional Members, they exchange viewpoints and work together on issues of common concern. ...more...
