Stephanie Wilson, a NASA astronaut just back from a Space Shuttle mission, will speak this Thursday at Harvard University's Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

All are welcome to attend this free, family-oriented talk. Seating is limited, and on a first come, first served basis.

Wilson, a member of Harvard College's Class of 1988 and the second African-American female in space, was a crew member of NASA Space Shuttle mission STS-121, launched on July 4, 2006.

The team tested new safety equipment and procedures for the shuttle program and, after docking with the International Space Station, delivered supplies and performed repairs.

At Harvard, Wilson will discuss her experiences as one of the few of our species to break free of earth's gravity and provide insights into the ever-popular question: How do you become an astronaut?
