Technical Staff Job Descriptions

Technical Director for College Theatre - Thomas P. Morgan
Responsibile for:

  • Oversight of all technical operations of Agassiz and New College Theatres along with drama in the Houses e. g. Adams Pool and Leverett Library Theatre; 
  • Oversight of house producing organizations including Dunster House Opera and Lowell House Opera; 
  • Interfacing with Facilities operations personnel to maintain theatrical infrastructure. 

Assistant Technical Director, Agassiz Theatre
- Elizabeth Dean
Responsibe for: Supervision of all technical aspects of Agassiz Theatre operations.

Technical Supervisor, New College Theatre (NCT) - Andrew Gitchel
Responsibile for: Supervision of all the technical aspects of the New College Theatre.  

Production Coordinator, Agassiz and New College Theatre - Dana Knox
Responsibile for: Administration and coordination of venues, production schedules, royalties, budgetary oversight for both student and OFA produced events.

Dance Production Supervisor - TBD
Responsibile for: Supervision of all technical aspects of the Harvard Dance Center operations.

 

Collectively, the duties of the OFA Technical staff include but are not limited to:

  • Advising students and organizations in all aspects of theater administration including producing, directing, designing, house and stage management; 
  • Oversee/coordinate operations of the NCT and Agassiz Theatre including financial accounting, space reservation, staffing, and facilities;
  • Instruct all student groups using the facilities to advise on policies and procedures;
  • Assist with marketing and promotion;
  • Oversee and train students in the safe use of stage and shop equipment;
  • Support the application process for student use of theatre spaces at the NCT and the Agassiz;
  • Support the Learning From Performers, Visiting Directors Program and other OFA produced events;
  • Interface and coordinate with Harvard Radcliffe Dramatic Club.
