Language Dictionaries and Translators
A large collection of links to online dictionaries for about 150 languages. The authors of this page have attempted to "place as many online dictionaries at your disposal as possible," and as a result a few of the dictionaries that are listed no longer exist or fail to execute searches properly. Still, with so many dictionaries to choose from it is likely that a language student will find a useful resource here.

Word Online General Dictionaries
Links to online dictionaries for a variety of languages appear here. In addition to resources for two dozen Indo-European languages (including Basque, Catalan and Romanian), dictionaries for such languages as Thai, Indonesian, Basque, and Mandinka are also available.

Logos Multilingual Portal
This freely accessible online Dictionary/Translator, compiled without any form of public contribution, is growing constantly because it's updated and corrected on line by a network of professional translators.

Webster's Collegiate Dictionary
This electronic edition of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, included with Britannica Online, is a popular dictionary of English and has over 260,000 index terms in 73,415 documents.

Grove Dictionary of Art Online
The world's first comprehensive art reference work covering all forms of the visual arts: painting, sculpture, architecture, graphic and decorative arts, and photography from prehistory to the 1990s.

Grove Dictionary of Music

Oxford Classical Dictionary
This electronic edition of the Oxford Classical Dictionary is based on the one-volume 3rd edition (1996) of the text edited by Simon Hornblower and Antony Spawforth.

The Rosetta Project
