How often should I have our piano tuned?

We recommend a minimum of 3 tunings per year.

Do you rent pianos?

Please contact the Piano Technical Services office for availability of rental pianos.

Do you move pianos?

No. All piano moving is done by outside professional piano movers. Contact PTS for piano moving referrals.

Do you sell pianos?

PTS does not sell pianos but can advise in the purchase of an instrument.

Can I purchase piano accouterments through PTS?

If you are an FAS affiliate, we will aid in the purchase of such things as covers, locks, benches and casters.

Do you rent electronic keyboards?

PTS does not own any electronic keyboards, but can assist in locating one.

Do you tune or repair organs?

No. We work exclusively on acoustic stringed keyboard instruments.

Do you accept piano donations?

It depends on the quality and condition of the piano. We will be happy to evaluate an instrument in the Cambridge area.

Do PTS personnel do piano work outside of Harvard?

Most of our staff additionally does outside work. See the
