Memorial Hall/Lowell Hall Complex
Sanders Theatre, located within Memorial Hall, is presently home to several undergraduate choir and orchestral groups and also serves as a venue for many professional performance ensembles including The Boston Philharmonic, The Boston Chamber Music Society, The Christmas Revels, Masterworks Chorale and The Boston Baroque. A member of the League of Historic American Theatres, the 1,166 seat theatre offers a unique and intimate 180 degree design which provides unusual proximity to the stage.

Lowell Hall is a FAS classroom Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm. Standing rehearsals, both faculty conducted and student lead, are scheduled Monday though Thursday afternoons and evenings, Saturdays until 3pm and all day Sunday. Rehearsals are occassionally scheduled for Friday afternoons. Standing rehearsals are generally not moved. Built in 1902 by architect Guy Lowell, '92. The building was the gift of Professor A. Lawrence Lowell and was called the "New Lecture Hall" until it was renamed in A. Lawrence Lowell's honor in 1959.

Agassiz Theatre
Agassiz Theatre is managed by the Office for the Arts at Harvard in service of its mission to integrate creative thinking and expression into the undergraduate educational experience. The theater serves as a try-out house for plays which students select, direct, produce, perform and occasionally write. Approximately 750 undergraduates are involved in Agassiz Theatre productions each year and thousands more attend its productions.

OFA Grants
Grants are available to encourage original creative work or work showing an original, creative approach to artistic traditions. Awards are made by the Council on the Arts at Harvard, a standing committee of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Applications are open to undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty for projects that benefit undergraduates.

Music Teacher Reference File
This database is administered by the Office for the Arts (OFA) to help Harvard Students find opportunities to study music. Although Harvard University does not have its own staff of music instructors, the Cambridge/Boston area has many qualified teachers. The Reference File lists local instructors who have expressed interest in teaching Harvard Students. Information includes rates, location and biographical information. Students are responsible for contacting instructors to verify lesson plans and costs.

Music Lesson Subsidy Program
Financial subsidies are available for full-time Harvard undergraduates to support private voice and instrumental lessons. Subsidies are based on financial need and demonstrated musical ability and/or promise.
