Papers will consider the origins and paleography of Armenian script, the work of Mashtots, the early translators, and his hagiographer Koriun, and the writing systems of neighboring Near Eastern languages.
Speakers include Prof. Michael Stone (Hebrew University, Jerusalem), Prof. Robert Thomson (Oxford University), Prof. Karen Yuzbashian (Russian Academy of Sciences), Dr. Gohar Muradyan (Matenadaran, Erevan), Prof. John Huehnergard (NELC, Harvard), and Prof. Abraham Terian (St. Nersess Seminary).
