STEPS FOR OBTAINING A VENDOR'S LICENSE

If you are selling any goods at your event (T-shirts, souvenirs, etc.), you must purchase a "peddler’s" or "transient vendor’s" license for each calendar day you are selling goods.

  1. Get a Memorial Hall/ Lowell Hall Complex License Requirements Form from the Administrative Office, room 027, or print it from our web site using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Fill it out and bring it to the Office to have it signed. Hours: M-F, 10am-6pm. Phone: 617.496.4595.
  2. Obtain the signature of Chief Riley, or his designee, at the Harvard University Police Department at (NEW LOCATION!) 1033 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge on the License Requirements Form. Hours: 9am-5pm Phone: 617.495.1215.
  3. Take the form to the City of Cambridge License Commission, Lombardi Municipal Building , 831 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge (Central Square). Hours: M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm. Phone: 617.349.6140 (call to confirm office hours). A fee is charged for each license, payable in cash or by check. The license must be obtained in person by the "organization representative" listed on the License Requirements Form. The license must be obtained 3 business days prior to the event.

The License Requirements Form for a Vendors Permit requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can obtain a free copy of the reader at www.adobe.com
