Handbook for Undergraduate Concentrators in Linguistics

Study Abroad

The Department of Linguistics encourages study abroad for concentrators. Students working on a specific language or on language acquisition may wish to spend a semester or a summer in a country where that language is spoken, and should discuss their options with the staff of the Office of International Programs before meeting with the Head Tutor. Under appropriate circumstances, work done abroad may be counted toward the concentration requirement. Concentrators are encouraged to discuss their interests with the Head Tutor.
