The CBW Conventions Bulletin

The CBW Conventions Bulletin, formerly the Chemical Weapons Convention Bulletin, is the quarterly journal of the Harvard Sussex Program, providing news, background and comment on chemical and biological warfare issues. It is edited jointly by Matthew Meselson and Julian Perry Robinson, with the HSP Advisory Board serving as its Advisory Committee. Issue no 1 was published in Summer 1988 in Washington by the Federation of American Scientists. The initial producer was Gordon Burck, with Lora Lumpe taking over at issue no 6, and Richard Guthrie at issue no 20, when production moved to its present location at Sussex. It became the The CBW Conventions Bulletin from issue number 36 (June 1997).

The Bulletin offers its readers a News Chronology, which is a systematic account of events in and around the CBW world during the previous three months; a listing of notable Recent Publications in the field; a calendar of scheduled forthcoming events in the CBW world; and detailed reviews of the latest developments within the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague and within the negotiations to strengthen the Biological Weapons Convention that are continuing in the Ad Hoc Group in Geneva. The journal also offers its readers authoritative invited articles and editorial comment on matters of the moment.

The CBW Conventions Bulletin is available in two formats:

From issue no 48 (June 2000) supplements to the Bulletin containing additional material have been placed via the web site.
