Carl Francis - Curator
Carl Francis, a native New Englander, earned his A.B. in geology from Amherst College and his graduate degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. He is curator of the Harvard Mineralogical Museum, which is noted for its extensive systematic mineral collection and strong meteorite collection. He has been involved with the Harvard Extension School's graduate ALM in Museum Studies program since its inception. He currently teachs the "Collections & Curation" course and oversees internships. He was the recipient of the Carnegie Mineralogical Award in 1993 and served as Chairman of the International Mineralogical Association's Commission on Museums from 1994 to 2002.

Carolina Rodriguez
Carolina Rodríguez earned her Master of Science degree in Geology (1998) at the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile and her PhD degree (2006) at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. She has worked for the National Geological Survey of Chile in different projects involving regional mapping, petrology, petrography and geochemistry. She has also studied the petrology and geochemistry of several volcanoes at the Chilean Andes.

Last fall Dr. Rodríguez taught petrography and mineralogy in the EPS department of Harvard University. She has joined the Harvard Mineralogical Museum to work on the collections and the collections database.
