If you enjoyed the hand-made books, poetry broadsides, and artwork designed by Rope-a-Dope Productions of the Dudley April Speech Acts Art Exhibit, join us for two exciting workshops in which you can design you very own book! During the workshop, you will have access to various artistic materials (such as silk-screens, paints, hand-binding equipment, etc.) to create you very own unique, hand-made book. This is a great workshop for those who would love to learn how to create and press their very own journals, chapbooks, or spruce up an old books with new handmade, illustrated cover. The results will be stunning, and space for the workshop will be limited. So please make sure to buy tickets in advance for a nominal fee of $5 and enjoy and afternoon of creating wonderful art! Speech Acts: Art Responding to Language, Rhetoric, & Politics

Opening Night Gala: Thursday April 3 @ 8 pm in the Common Room*Join us for this exciting art exhibit featuring how various visual artists and designers articulate and respond to speech acts, creating thought-provoking art with reflects upon, internalizes, or subverts your traditional notions of language, rhetoric, and politics. Featured artists will include Peter Ciccariello, David Chirot, Frank Shifreen, and books designed by Sarita Cartonera and Robert da Vies from Rope-a-Dope Collaborative. Handmade books, poetry broadsides, and other visual art objects will be up for sale. The exhibit will also feature a short film, and live jazz music provided by Casimir Liberski of the Berklee College of Music. So join us for a wonderful night of art, music, food and wine, and thought-provoking entertainment!

Join Harvard's Bard Society as they bring the intrigue, passion, and linguistic mastery of Shakespeare to life in spirited performances of his key dramatic monologues. In the cozy atmosphere of the Fireside Room, enjoy a spot of wine and cheese as watch Hamlet, Othello, Caesar, and Puck come to life before your eyes! Join us as we celebrate those memorable monologues and charackters for Shakespeare's great tragedies, comedies, and romances!
