The Halle Archives and the Pietist Diaspora

November 15-16, 1997
A weekend Workshop on "The Halle Archives and the Pietist Diaspora," the first in a series of two-day meetings to focus on sources in Atlantic history, convened at Harvard on November 15 and 16, 1997. Invited presenters, led by the Head Archivist of the Franckesche Stiftungen, Dr. Thomas Müller, included Aaron Fogleman, A. Gregg Roeber, Renate Wilson, and Marianne Wokeck, all scholars who have used the Archives extensively. Formal papers were not presented; rather, each speaker discussed problems and potentials of using the Archives for research in their own areas of interest.
