Freeman Foundation Chinese and Southeast Asian Fellowship Program (top)
Part of the Department of Social Medicine’s Mental Health Unit, the Freedman Fellowship Program is a fellowship and exchange program designed to advance communication and improve relations between Chinese and Southeast Asians and Americans through faculty, fellow, and student exchange.
Harvard Medical International (top)
Harvard Medical International (HMI) is a self-supporting not-for-profit subsidiary of Harvard Medical School whose role is to extend internationally the School's tradition of improving the quality of health care through excellence in clinical medicine, medical education, and biomedical research. HMI, which has a regional office in Beijing, has partnerships with Xinjiang Medical University in Urumqi, Hua Shan Hospital in Shanghai, the Xiamen University-FuPond International Hospital, and has been involved in the development of the Beijing-United States International Medical Center.
US-China-Japan Research Consortium on Herbal Medicines (top)
This planning grant has the long-term goal of developing an International Center for CAM Research focused on the systematic evaluation of East Asian herbal medicines. Regular conference calls are held among consortium members to: 1) prioritize top candidate herbs; 2) develop/refine existing protocols to Perform Bioassays/HST evaluations; 3) plan for the Phase II grant submission and clinical trial development.
