ARTS FIRST 2008: Guide Addendum

FRIDAY, MAY 2

Date Change: Harvardwood: An Introduction to Film & TV Casting: Saturday, May 3, 10am, Science Center, Lect. Hall E

Friday Addition: 1-4pm: Harvard University Art Museums Open House: Learnabout the museums from Student Friends of HUAM. Fogg Museum. Free admission, snacks, and information.

7pm: Harvard Film Archive: “Secret Sunshine” with appearance by director Lee Chang-dong.  Tickets: $10. Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts

SATURDAY, MAY 3

Location update: 12-6pm: Harvard University Powwow, Kennedy School Courtyard, JFK Street at Eliot Street

Performance Fair Additions/Changes:

1:30pm: Phillips Brooks House: Crimson Crooners performance will feature Harvard-Radcliffe MIHNUET. These groups provide a public service by performing in hospitals and nursing homes throughout the region. 

2pm: Cambridge Queen’s Head: Piano & Guitar Duet, Jay Costa & Derek Wetzl

4pm: Cambridge Queen’s Head: Dharma Seals, Acoustic Rock  

Dance Festival Cancellations:

1:30pm:  Harvard Irish Dancers (they will perform in with the Irish-Am Society Dancers at 2pm)

Dance Festival Changes:

3pm: Harvard-Radcliffe Dance Company

4pm: Harvard Garba Raas

Saturday Addition:

10am: Leverett House, Old Library/Courtyard: Indonesian Dance of West Sumatra, Tickets: Free

7pm: Harvard Film Archive: “Peppermint Candy” Lee Chang-dong, director in person. Tickets: $10 general. Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts

7:30pm: Boylston Hall, Fong Auditorium. "The Seraph," directed by Harry Rimalower ’10. Tickets: Available at the door.

SUNDAY, MAY 4

Time change: Semitic Museum: Sun hours 11am-4pm
